How can youth volunteering and the voluntary sector contribute to the implementation of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act?

Youth volunteering is an important form of social action which can bring about positive change and improve the wellbeing of communities. Volunteering helps build strong, resilient communities as highlighted by the efforts of volunteers who responded quickly and effectively to support more vulnerable members of the community from the impacts of COVID-19.

The values held by the third sector align closely with the aims of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act, an innovative piece of legislation and world first, the Act calls on public bodies to put the wellbeing of current and future generations at the heart of decision making.

This session will invite young volunteers and voluntary organisations to consider how volunteering and the voluntary sector can help create a better world and support the achievement of the Act’s wellbeing goals.

The session is a partnership between Neath Port Talbot Council for Voluntary Service (NPTCVS), Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC), Scouts Cymru and WCVA, supported by the #iwill campaign in Wales
