Research conducted by the Jubilee Centre alongside #iwill found that children who first get involved in service under the age of 10 are more than two times more likely to have formed a habit of service than if they started aged 16–18 years. It is important that children, from a young age, gain opportunities to learn and take part in volunteering and social action.
This practical presentation will show you what primary schools can do to help their pupils make a habit of service. You will hear from experts who will discuss the barriers and enablers to establishing meaningful volunteering opportunities in primary schools and for younger children.
